You don't hear very much about the Governor's Mansion in Austin anymore. I decided to look up something on the web about it. This nice page came up telling the public that the old house is closed for tours. It was built in 1856 and is being repaired. You can still take a virtual tour and the page has good helps for using the Gonernor's Mansion as a teaching tool.

Thanks, guys. I hadn't known .... we have been installing new flooring and have had the t.v. turned off for the last few days.

I, too, am shocked and saddened -- and very angry Evil or Very Mad

Holly this really gets me too. The house is just sitting there so why? I haven't told my kids and probably won't before Sept., when maybe they'll know who did it.

What a sad weekend.
