| Subject: Mrs. M. E. Henry: Kind Greetings Thu 28 Feb 2008, 3:11 pm | |
| We have discovered a series of lovely postcards which were sent to a Mrs. M. (Mary) E. Henry ~ between the years of about 1912 and 1922. During the earliest years, Mrs. Henry appears to have been living in Smith, Texas (which county?) .... as she received a postcard mailed from Jefferson (Marion County) to an address there. By the middle of the decade, she likely resided in Rosser (southwestern Kaufman County). The final greeting which we possess, Mrs. Henry received in Marshall (Harrison County).
It is possible that Mary E. Henry had been a teacher, as several of the cards originated with children ~ who mention their current activities in school.
The sweet card seen below was mailed to the Rosser address. I will be scanning several others and posting them to the Google or Flikr photo-hosting sites.
