PostSubject: Large Old Building in Rice or Alma?   Mon 05 Nov 2007, 2:11 am

It has been quite a while since I've traveled down that way, but I remember the large, two-story, brick building which could be seen to the east of I45, in one of the little hamlets on the border of Ellis and Navarro Counties. I believe that this locale may have been Rice or Alma; if Rice, could the building have been the old high school?

But I'm thinking that the town was Alma, as my map shows Rice sitting to the west of I45. Alma, on the other hand, is located on US 75.

Hopefully, the old building is still standing today. Thanks for any information or direction someone might have.
