Sipe Springs, which is the site of a little unknown girl's grave -- yet cared for and decorated -- is located in Comanche County. Following are a few links to the rather abundant offerings on the Web relating to this near-forgotten settlement:

The Handbook of Texas Online speaks of another Sipe Springs, this time in Milam County:

According to Fred Tarpley's '1001 Texas Place Names,' both of these tiny towns drew their names from springs which seeped (or 'siped,' according to dialect) rather than flowed from the earth.
