The ads on this site aren't too bad. As you can see from my post on the Alamo they work!

Madelyn ...

I've clicked on the 'Lone Star' candle-making supplies site and have seen that the store location is in Keller. So, they probably have a new customer!

The ads on the Google-goups forum are even more closely targeted. Plus, some of them lead to sites which are not profit-oriented.

Be sure to wander over to that group Smile Also ... remember ... moderators, etc. are needed!

I wonder how they program these ads so that they might be appealing to the users of a particular forum or website. Keywords may play an important role, but something else must be at work as well.

How would a business sign onto such a service as is seen here?

Anyway, they cast out this lure, and I would love to take it Smile

When we lived in humidity, TX for a couple years when I was a kid, people used to ask "Ya'll from Yuston" or "U from Uston"? I never could understand what they were talking about (grin)

Interesting about that pronunciation of 'Houston.' I hadn't heard it said that way before.

Concerning the ads here: I've almost decided that rather than searching Google directly, one can just post a message on a forum which hosts its ads and see what shows up concerning the topic on the page heading. The results seem to be just about as reliable and certainly more targeted to the user. Wink

I'm not sure where they've hidden now, Madelyn. Maybe we should be counting our blessings and praying for continued relief? Neutral
