These boots are made by the same family, I remember that now. Nakona boots are fancier, for the want to be cowboys & cowgirls:)

Much of the story must be told, printed and/ or digitized somewhere, but was there a problem within the Justin family relating to the "rival" boot companies: Miss Enid's which remained in Nocona, and the Justin operation of her brothers after it moved on to Fort Worth? Perhaps their specialties were somewhat different .... as you implied, Mari ... and this helped to offset any hard feelings.

But that is an interesting geographical progression for a family of bootmakers: Indiana --> old Spanish Fork, Texas (ca. 1879) --> Nokona (both of the latter locales on the Chisholm Trail), where Enid remained --> Fort Worth, where the brothers ended up. And now, with both branches -- Nokona and Justin -- being held once again beneath a single financial/ administrative umbrella?

They're even celebrated down in Madisonville Razz No place else but Texas (as they say)!

You can be from Texas and never slide your foot in a boot. They're cute for the kids though. Like a Star @ heaven
